Three-phase boost-stage coupled current source inverter concept and its space vector modulation

چکیده

The current source inverter (CSI) is essentially a converter with inherent boost capability and has been preliminarily applied in the field of renewable energy generation systems. However, conventional CSIs are mostly operated independently. Several existing multilevel CSI topologies entirely rely on parallel combinations, which seems to be not very suitable for capacity expansion. To solve this issue, paper proposes concept three-phase boost-stage coupled (BSC-CSI) through duality principle, can output multi-level currents reduced number switches as well hardware costs. Compared state-of-the-art CSIs, proposed BSC-CSI notably simplify implementation modulation scheme meanwhile ensure power devices switch under lower stress. further take full advantage modularity scalability, constructed by hybrid using silicon-carbide (SiC) silicon (Si) based semiconductor improving efficiency. experimental results have verified theoretical findings.
